Chaturbate is king of the cam sites right now and the revenue we generate from them says the same thing. They have been our most consistent and biggest earner and they pay like clockwork. They also drive the most traffic to our site as people are actively searching for the various performers on the site or information about the site.
The Chaturbate affiliate program converts really well and we believe it’s because it follows the new school approach to live cams. There are two main kinds of cam sites as far as we can see it. Those like LiveJasmin that are more traditional, like walled gardens. There are a bunch of performers, generally solo, trying to entice you into joining their private room. If you decide to go in there is usually a cost per minute or something to that extent. Similar to the old phone sex lines.
Then you have sites like Chaturbate, which are a free-for-all. Everything is just happening, everyone can watch. The white label feature is quite limited and it’s missing the part that generally makes a white label appealing, you are not able forward it to a domain you own. So you’ll be on availablesubdomain.chaturbate.com. We’re really not sure what purpose this serves as you’re just sending people to a version of Chaturbate that is colored differently. It seems like it’s more likely to confuse than convert.
The stats do what they need to with our only gripe being that you can’t sort the columns. When you have a lot of subids for traffic sources/ad spots/devices/etc. it would be nice to be able to do this on site. Instead, you have to export to JSON, convert to CSV or know what to do with JSON, then open in a spreadsheet. It’s not a big deal but it takes a few extra minutes, especially if you don’t know what you’re doing. Here’s a site we’ve used to convert JSON to CSV in the past. It has a data limit for free users but it has worked for us if you keep your file under 1mb.
The Chaturbate platform has no ability to do a postback for use with a tracker, which you may or may not care about. You have one sub id spot you can pass info with so make good use of it.
We haven’t needed much support from the affiliate staff but any time we’ve contacted them they get back to us pretty quickly and are able to assist. A good affiliate program needs good support.

You may be thinking if the site is so popular are people really going to sign up? We weren’t sure either when we started but the answer is yes, there are always more people that can sign up. And they do you’re going to catch some spenders.
One thing that helps is that when a user goes through your link a 30-day cookie is set in their browser, assuming they allow them. So if they come back and sign up within that period they are attributed to you. We’ve run paid traffic to the site before and noticed sign-ups far after the initial visit. This helps immensely.
Pay Per Lead or RevShare?
You’ll come across this question over and over again in affiliate marketing. The answer is RevShare, RevShare, RevShare when it comes to Chaturbate. First off the PPL payouts for Chaturbate affiliates is really low even for a single opt-in. It’s $1 for tier 1 countries and we think it’s less for lower tiers though we couldn’t find exact numbers. Going with PPL is selling your efforts way short and you will miss out on people spending massive amounts of money.
RevShare starts to provide a recurring income and even if you stop all traffic you’ll still be getting paid from those old sign-ups. We’ve built up a nice passive income stream from the people we’ve sent to Chaturbate and it continues to grow.
With that being said getting started with revshare is tough. You’ll be sending leads and chances are you aren’t going to see much if any revenue coming for a while. It took us several months to start seeing a little bit coming in and it wasn’t super convincing at first.
So you need to have a plan. Sending paid traffic to revshare doesn’t work well if you don’t have a sizable budget you can put into it without the expectation of return for months. And even then it’s basically impossible to track and plan for. While paid traffic does sign up and convert we wouldn’t recommend trying to run all paid traffic to their affiliate program.
For us building a website and getting organic traffic has been the best way to grow our Chaturbate user base. We’re not going to lie, it’s a lot of hard work, but so is anything that is really going to make a good income for you.
